About me
Originally from the seaside peninsula of Halifax, Nova Scotia, I've lived abroad in Chiba, Japan and Cork, Ireland, before finally ending up in Toronto in 2012. Exposure to different cultures early on in life taught me the invaluable experience of getting curious, and how to translate that curiosity into a design practise. I learnt to question why things are done the way they are, whether there are better ways to do things, and how to make that happen. In Toronto, I enrolled in Ontario College of Art and Design University’s Illustration program, and slowly over time my interests turned less towards art, and more towards design thinking and problem solving. I had the opportunity to return to secondary education through Seneca College’s Interactive Media Design course, and fell in love with UX Design; a field where the qualities of being endlessly curious, and questioning things is right at home. Since graduating I have worked for the AI powered Legal Analysis company Cobalt AI, created an ever growing personal practice of illustration, and honed my front end developer skills through a variety of professional and personal projects.
Currently I am: studying French, reading up on the advancement of AI technologies, teaching myself traditional animation.
